Very Painful Sex After Canisten Usage Posted: 09-18-07 15:15pm


Hi there, My girlfriend and I both have thrush - we went to the GP and was prescribed Canisten cream which we both applied, and my girlfriend used the pessary. It is now 4 days after using the pessary and my girlfriend found it too painful to have sex today - she is extremely itchy and sore. We are not sure whether it's the thrush or what to do about it. Any ideas anyone? Thanks

Sounds like it is the thrush. She isn't any better after the medication? She should return to the doctor.
