Q: Persona Non Grata

I am sad. I am having one of those pitiful moments that have been coming around a bit lately when I miss my bf and things are going wrong. Today at work i feel like persona non grata. I have been asked not to take of ffor lunch for the next two weeks and I keep getting handed "projects" without the usual thank you. I know I won't be here in two weeks anyway, but it still makes me sad when i feel ganged up on. there's only three of us in the office, so when your'e the odd man out, it really sucks. I guess I just miss having a friendship with someone where there are no strings attached. They love you no matter what. maybe it WAS all just a bunch of crap, but it was nice crap. I liked that crap. Now, i have no crap. I am crapless. completely devoid of craplitude. Crying or Very sad

The end of a job and the end of the job friendships is sucky. I just went through that. In fact, some people didn't even say goodbye to me! These were people I worked with every single day. They couldn't be bothered to say goodbye? I think they were angry that I was leaving.

Yeah, I got some of that when I left my job. As soon as anyone finds out you're leaving, the attitudes change...

I think that is really crappy and immature for them to be handling things that way. We have a girl that is leaving the end of this month. But, she's leaving to better herself and will be happier, I can't imagine anyone being rude to her. There is just no point. Maybe if we're mean she'll want to stay? That makes sense.

I'm just sorry that they can't make your transition any easier. Just remember, we will always have plenty of crap here. But, we are here for you because we want to be, not because it is the 'polite' thing to do. I hope you are having a better day today.

I am having a better day today. My DH brought me fish tacos for lunch (yippee!). I had a chat with my boss last night and straigtened a few things out, so I think it will be better....

I'm glad to hear that. Not much worse than spending your day in an office where it feels like no one wants to be around you.
