Does having genital herpes forbid you to have a normal delivery? You do they always do c-section because of the high risk on the baby?

I remember one summer I worked in a ob/gyn dr's office and there was a lady who was pregnant who had genital herpes. She was going to deliver vaginally as long as she didn't have an outbreak. If she did have an outbreak at the time of delivery, she would get a c-section. I think she was able to vaginally deliver. Your doctor would know best.
