Q: Ahh How Hard Is It?

To make a schedule?!?!?! I went to my manager yesterday about my schedule because I was scheduled 6 days that week with only one day off for a total of 37 hrs (mind you I'm part time). This has been the 4th time I've had to go to them because they have either scheduled me 35 hrs or 6-7 days in a row, and I've only been there 5 weeks!!! Evil or Very Mad Also, according to another manager, they're required to give you 2 days off per work week. And I gave them a doctor's note saying I'm restricted to 5 hrs a day MAX.

Anyway, I called my manager back today to see if he fixed it. Well he changed my schedule that's for sure. But...I still am scheduled 6 days this week and I have a 7 hr shift on Saturday!!! Evil or Very Mad AHHHHH, HOW HARD IS IT TO MAKE A SCHEDULE!!!?!?!?!? This is ricidulous.

Sorry, I just had to vent. Very Happy

No worries, vent all you want. I hate it when bosses can not get it through their skulls that we are not machines that can work every minute that they want us. I am actually looking for a new job due to scheduling issues right now.

Where do you work?

aw, amy im sorry.

Tell ur job to shove it and find one that better suits you.

I hate it when managers take advantage.

BTW your photo looks like it was taken in a Hallmark lol.

I work at Kohls. I wouldn't be complaining as much if it was a sit down job, but standing up for 8-9 hrs a day IS NOT working when I'm 30 weeks pregnant.

I would but I just found this one, and I know I won't get hired right now. They're just going to have to hear me complain again tomorrow until they can fix it correctly.

Well I thought they would get the memo when the doctor's note said that exactly. They better figure it out and do my schedule correctly next time, because I believe they can get into legal trouble if they don't follow it (at least that's what another manager told me).

Yes they can. They have to follow your doctors orders or risk liability if it affects your health.

Hehehe, I think I could beat him up myself if I really wanted to. But a pregnant woman fighting a manager would be hilarious to watch. Very Happy
