Im 20 years old been smoking for 5 year, just about 5 days ago i started to feel a wierd tingling/burning pain in my esophagus or windpipe im not sure and whenever i take a deep breath it tingling more, its just a weird pain also from this pain i can feel tingling in my bottom teeth and gums....weird i know....im not really coughing up and phlem...it feels like there is something stuck in there or its been scratched..when i drink warm tea it helps only for a bit, seems to be worse when i breath cold air...its not that painfull its just anoyying. I went to the doctor and he told me it might be from my mild hiatal hernia so he gave me some ant acids and its not helping..i know what heart burn is and its not that. its about 2-4 inches below my throat its sort of effecting my lungs i think..doc siad its not my lungs.. i hope not... oh and when i swallow it feels fine.

if anyone had a idea what this can be please tell me.
thank you

Me Too
I have had the exact same thing even down to the weird pain in the bottom of my teeth...went to emergency and they didn't seem to take me very seriously...they ran the usual tests and everything came back normal and they said that it could be a spasm in my esophagus but to me it feels more like a pinched nerve or a tear of some kind(and this seems weird but if i press right under my chin just behind the front part of my jawbone it takes away the irritating tingling in my windpipe, but only while i press)they were going to send me on my way until i asked "what about my pain"...so they gave me something by injection a little stronger than advil but it only took the edge off the pain in my chest but not my windpipe and same with Tylenol 3's...i am hoping to get a scope done on my esophagus and maybe even my windpipe...i am beginning to lose faith in doctors, maybe naturopath is the way to go.
