After reaching into the filter of my backyard pond, a nickel-sized area of deep red, with a darker vein in the middle, arose in the middle of the palm side of my middle finger. There is a tiny pin-point mark on the edge. There is no pain, no itching, no swelling -- just looks like a lot of blood collecting under the surface of my skin. What could have caused this?? I felt nothing.
