I have to go in for my 3 year colonoscopy. I have to do it every 3 years because colon cancer runs in the family on both sides and they found polyps the last time. I can't take the liquid stuff anymore, I throw it up everytime so not as well "prepared" (if you know what I mean) when I go in. I just read about these and they sounded great. A tablet that can do what the liquid does, why didn't they come up with this years ago! Anyone use them?

Hi!
I haven't used OsmoPrep tablets, but I'm sure they'll solve the single largest barrier to colorectal cancer screening and that is the patient unwillingness to take a bowel preparation. This tablets are great replacement for four liters of polyethylene glycol. You should know that it is very important that patients receiving OsmoPrep are advised to adequately hydrate before, during, and after the use of OsmoPrep. There are clinical evidences that these tablets are very effective and well-tolerated, but also can cause some serious demages in very rare cases.

Osmoprep Liquid Colonoscopy Prep
Yes, I just had my Osmoprep pills now. It's not too bad. You can drink lemonade or Gatorade with it. I took 4 pills with 8 ounces of a list of clear everyday life liquids you can have with it - 4 pills every 15 minuets for 1 hour and then another half hour. For me personally I was just happy drinking plain water - but it's nice to know there are other refreshing options.

Effects happen 3-6 hours after you take the pills. It is a much better process than force-chugging the salty solution down through the gags. Not for someone that has a hard time with pills though - there are 32 of them and they're not small ones. They taste salty but nothing that a swig of water washes down easily. Then you get used to just throwing them back.

Good Luck and God speed to the healthy results on the other side.
