i'm 19 and i've been on the same birth control for 3 years. i'm sexually active but have never had any problems with the pill. for the past couple of months i've been "spotting" about 1-2 weeks after my regular period. is this something i should be concerned about?

Not really something you should be concerned about. If you need, you can ask your doc about switching pills. It will probably help.
