Many of you know that i have switched birth control (or maybe forgot). But anyways i was on Junel Fe 1/20 for three months and am now on Microgestin, tonight will be my 5th pill of it. I haven't seen any symptoms at all. The only reason i switched is because PP doesn't have Junel and thats where i am going now for insurance reasons. But anyways, i was told that microgestin is pretty much the exact same thing as Junel just another name for it (or at least thats what the nurse had stated). But i had a bad headache earlier today around, oh....3 or so, so i took some headache relief pills (which have caffeine in them). I also sat with an ice pack on my head for about 2 hours and still nothing. I've takin' these pills before and i've never gottin' any of these symptoms before, could this be from my birth control? Or should the symptoms of kicked in right away?

Light headed
Very shaky
Head ache never went away
My tummy really hurts
AND ITS GETTING TO THE PINT WHERE I FEEL LIKE THROWING UP!

Any andive would be great, thanks!

I wa on Junel Fe 1/20 and i just realized that i am on Microgestin 1/20 NOT Microgestin Fe 1/20....how much of a difference can that make?

The Fe part doesn't make a difference, it just means there is iron in the placebo pills (to make up for the loss of iron during your period) but it's not necessary at all.

But I'm not really sure about the other symptoms. If you are getting headaches from your bcp's, you need to tell your doc. But the nausea and other symptoms could be from the switch. I'd wait a while and see if it continues. Maybe you're just sick!

Oh I forgot-

bcp's can lessen the effects of tylenol. So if that's what you're taking you might want to try aspirin or ibuprofen or something else for your headache.

What i took was..."equate headache relief" it also says: EXTRA STRENGTH ANALGESIC, acetominophen, asprin and caffeine. So i guess its asprin. It's now 12:20pm and i can feel another headache coming on....and i don't know what to take! Sad

It's actually a cocktail of tylenol and aspirin then. I don't know, try taking a nap! Or eating if you haven't eaten in a while.
