Hey everyone, as some may know, I had a bladder infection and I had to take antibiotics for a week.. Well I didnt do anything sexual w/ my boyfriend during that time.. Well I finished my pills on thursday and had sex for the first time after that on sunday..Well I had sex yesterday (the sunday) twice, and today once, and all three times, afterwards it burns like crazy and especially when I pee but even when I dont! It never did that b4. Even when I had my bladder infection it didnt burn. Do u have any idea whats up? I think I will call my doctor...

O yea, btw it only burns like this right after sex for about an hour, not any other time throughout the day.

I think your bladder infections may not be gone. I think you should call your doctor and have it checked again. It could be that you didnt have sex for awhile then had a lot in a short time though.

Just to be on the safe side you should have your doctor test you for std's. I'm not saying that's whats wrong, but just to be careful. You never know what guys are capable of doing. Remember the safety of your child. If not have the doctor give you other test to see what's up.

There are only a few antibiotics that can be used for bladder infections while you're pregnant... And from what my dr said, they are often not as effective as other antibiotics.. Sometimes they don't work as well or at all. Also, since you've just resumed sex after a break, you might have the infection coming back or just the same one still lurking around. Try drinking some urinary alkaliser (the stuff we have here is called ural, not sure if u guys have it), that tends to help with the burning. Also bladder infections are easier to get while you're pregnant so a few good tips to prevent them are to make sure u stay on the loo for a few seconds longer after peeing to make sure the last of the pee is out (ur bladder gets lazy just like ur bowels), to make sure u and your partner wash your genitals before sex, then for u to wash yourself again afterwards and go have a pee as well. Trust me, those things do help!!! I know how painful and annoying bladder infections are... I sure hope you feel better soon!!

Thanks girls* I dont think its an std because I was just tested 2 months ago and ive only been with him sense and iknow he hasnt cheated on me, well I dont know how he couldve, he doesnt hang out with anyone else and im with him all the time and I always know where hes at lol... But god if that was the case I would kill him and I would just die. But I reeally dont thinnk its an std (plus just to show up right after the bladder infection would kinda be a coincidence) thing is, its prolly the bladder infection, but y wouldnt it burn any other time? Just after the sex? Maybe sex irritates me now, I cant keep doing it if its going to be that painful! But I will call my doctor today for sure. Im embarresed to tell him about havin sex lol.

You could just be 'dry' and need lubrication. Pregnancy can't strip away the natural lubricants.

Ha I wish I was dryer!! Seriously its like sense I got pregnant I have a prob with being too wet!! Gross I know..

Anyhow I called the doc and she said most likely the antibiotics bothered me and that I have a small yeast infection but no big deal and she told me to put some monistat cream on the outside. Who knows hope it works!

Hey
I am nice when it concerns something other than what we were posting about. I support all the girls when it comes to their pregnancies and or sicknesses!
