Very Fet GIrl: My Period Hasn't Stop Since January! Posted: 09-12-07 19:05pm
I
have had my period since January of this
year. I had a break from it for a couple
days in July. I am a very heavy set girl
so I know this has alot to do with it, and
there might be some stress relative stuff
to it since I have worked 2 jobs all year
and trying to make ends meet. but I also
feel it is very abnormal considering it is
very heavy all the time I have blood clots
the size of 50 cent peices throughout most
of the day and if im not clotting then it
is just heavy flow. everytime I have gone
to a doctor they just tell me it is
because I am a heavy girl and try to put
me on birth control I take it for 3 months
and it seems to make things worse. I have
had symptoms in the past but it would only
last up to 3 months. what could this mean?
I wont have insurance until december and
the free clinic is the place they tell me
that its because Im fat. what should I do?

Keep going to the doctor. You need to be
seen. It is unusual for the pill to
increase your bleeding, it usually causes
less flow. Are you currently taking the
pill? If 3 months is not long enough to
show relief, maybe you need to take is for
longer.

you may want to check to see if you have
uterine fibroids, which are non-cancerous
tumors very common in many women. I was
diagnosed with them after my heavy priod
began lasting 11 days. I have now had a
period for 3 consecutive months. Awaiting
new insurance so I can have them
surgically removed.
