So this may sound like a stupid question but, if i have a canker soar (in my mouth, not a cold soar on the outside) and was to give oral to my boyfriend is their a reason why i shouldn't or that i should be cautious that he could develope something down there? He gets canker soars too...if that plays a roll in anything? THANK YOU!

...and if i have gottin' them my whole life, i'm taling like since i was 7 or 8. ANd i can tell you that i wasn't sexualy active at that age. I get them when i drink orange juice (cause of the acid) or anything that is really acidic. Or when i'm under a lot of stress...like i am now, i'm in a really REALLY tight money situation, and have been looking for a job for almost two months now!

Sometimes oral herpes can look like canker sores, but just because you have canker sores doesn't mean you have oral herpes.

As long as you don't have a reason to suspect that it's herpes, I wouldn't worry. Canker sores themselves aren't contagious.

thanks. and i know for a fact that they are canker soars. My moms works at mercy hospital and she told me that canker soars are indeed what they are. She also gets them. Actually everyone in my family but my dad gets them! But thanks for the information and such a quick response...i would of just felt so bad if he ended up getting something because of me.
