hi .
i am a 47 yr old woman and am concerned about my periods this month. i am into the second week of my cycle, the first week was just old dischage and not much bleeding but now into my second week i am bleeding real heavy and am passing blood clots. i am having to change my pad every hour. i have slight abdominal pain and back pain. this is worrying me as is the first time i have bled like this.
wot should i do ?

Call your doctor if you are bleeding through a pad an hour.

Definitely get to the doc. You are losing too much blood and it could (though unlikely) be a sign of internal problems.

Heavy Periods
hi there lee-hozz 57,im guessing that this could be to do with the menopause,im going through the very same thing ...really heavy periods,BIG blood clots and severe back pain,when i asked my doc about this he said "its natures way,of telling you that you are are at the end of your productive life " ! sad really he also said your body "emptying out if that makes sense ...it did to me,just go along to your doctor to be sure ,good luck .x

Is it possible to get pregnant after your period...I remember hear that you can get pregnant 2 weeks before & 2 weeks after your menstruation...
basically, I would like to if it's possible to get pregnant a few days after your period.

Yeah, you can get pregnant during your period, before it, after it, anytime, If you're not using some sort of protection. About two weeks before or after it is the most fertile time for most women, however, you can get pregnant any time.
