yea, gross question sorry..I keep trying to search the net but I'm getting unclear answers...Some say that diahrea has no effect some say it can reduce the effectiveness..I haven't been sick and i'm not on any antibiotics, just for 2 days or so my stomach was upset(my boyfriends too..probably due to something we ate) and I had diahrea, is this going to decrease the pills effectiveness? I have had unprotected sex recently. The diahrea didn't occur until later in the afternoon/night way after the pill had been in my system for a few hours also...so, any comments are welcomed because I can't help but freak out. I usually try and use VCF film as well but havent lately..so am I just freaking out for nothing?

As long as the diarrhea/puking happens about 6 hours after taking the pill, you are fine. It may be less than that, 4-5 hours. I don't remember exactly.

Right-

but even if you miss one whole pill, you should still be protected. So I wouldn't worry too much.

ok thanks guys, it was just for 2 days or so, and only 2-3 times..maybe tmi..sorry, but I was kinda worried about it, i'm pretty sure it was a few hours after I had taken my pill so I should have had time to absorb it

If you're ever concerned, condoms are an easy solution.

I keep a pack around just in case I am unsure.
