I have looked online and asked around and
gotten tons of different answers. What is
the best treatment for a scorpion sting if
the type is unknown and there is not a
chance of seeing a Doctor? This is of
course barring any type of anaphylactic
reaction. Any tips?

My experience:- Bitten on the side of my
foot by a medium sized black scorpion a
few months ago. Tried the reccomended Ice
+ Paracetomal but intense pain, reddness
and swelling increased to an unberable
level. I think it depends upon the size of
the scorpion, and the amount of venom
injected. I had to attend A&E at local
hospital for 10 mg. Pethadine injection
which diminished the pain but only got
complete relief when local injection to
the sting site with Lidocaine. I wouldn't
give much hope without medical
intervention. Aged people in our district
have died from severe scorpion stings and
no medical care. Good luck!
