I am 26.
I hurt my spine and now I have been told that surgery is the only option.
I have a ruptured disc l4 l5.
Has anybody heard about any other option or some new inventions that could help?

I read about this new BackPal
but cannot find it anywhere and I am not sure if it is for me. I am scared to live with that pain all my life.

LIfe is so fragile. We don't appreciate things before we loose them.

Dear Paul,

I sense your concern.

Many ruptured discs respond to nonsurgical treatment. Have you undergone any treatments so far? What were the results. Who are you working with as your advising physician? Have you consulted any other specialists? And I, too, would be wary of surgery. Life is precious, and good health even more so. I wish you the best. Please let us know how you're doing.

Hello Paul,

May I suggest that you go to the Laser Spine Surgery thread and present your question there. Also I would suggest that you read through a number of the posts.

Several people on the thread have had back surgery at the institutes that perform laser back sugery. Joe, Carrianne, and MJ are three that come to mind at this time.
