I am currently waiting on my doctor to call and schedule my Hidaa scan but I am in so much pain that I cannot sleep and the Vicodin is not really helping. I hurt through my back and chest...like a burning pain and am soo nauseous. Sad

I went to the ER right when this happened the first time and after my ultrasound coming back negative they told me maybe I had hurt my back Confused Yeah right..and that goes right along with nausea and pain when eating...

HELP!

I'd go to the ER if I were in terrible pain that wasn't controllable. But I've also left myself to sleep on the bathroom floor many nights when I've been in pain and nauseous all night too. Do whatever makes you feel more comfortable.

Good luck with the hida scan.

I took some more pain medicine and it is helping. I am just scared the HIDA scan will also come back normal and I will be left to suffer Sad

What other testing have they done? I'll assume you've had an abdominal ultrasound. That seems to be the first thing they do. Have you had a UGI? Tested for H-pylori? Liver function test?

I only ask because these are the things I have to do before they give me a hida scan.

Keep after your doctors if you don't feel well, let them know!

I have had 2 ultrasounds, both were negative, complete bloodwork, an upper endoscopy that included a test for H-pylori and it was negative. They did find some mild gastritis but that is being helped with medication. Everything I eat hurts so badly and I feel like I have a softball stuck under the bottom of my ribcage. I have another post not too far down on the page and it includes all of my symptoms and thoughts. Feel free to read it.
