I heard it takes a couple 12 months to have a child. I havent been on any type of birth control in two years. Can anyone please help me??

Chart your cycle. Most of the women here have links to sites that can help you with that. Yes it can take up to a year for a healthy couple to get pregnant so don't worry too much. Just enjoy the process!

You can try an online ovulation predictor (google it, you'll get lots of good results). Write down the date of the first day of your period - it'll come in handy. The predictor will tell you when your most fertile days are, so you'll know to definitely have sex on those days to maximise your chances of getting pregnant.

It takes a healthy couple a year to get pregnant, because you have about a 25% chance of hitting the jackpot each month. It all comes down to timing - the egg in the right spot, the sperm in the right spot, and the fertilized egg attaching correctly before your body flushes it out. It can take some time for things to work out just right. Try to be patient and remember - making babies is supposed to be fun! Try to keep things romantic and spicy between you and your partner, and try not to stress.

Good luck!

Try fertilityfriend.com or mymonthlycycles.com

They are two good sites for tracking your cycle.

It took me and my boyfriend 8 months to get pregnant, we weren't trying, but we weren't using protection either. I was pretty much convinced that we had fertility problems until i figured out I was pregnant. We only had sex once the month I concieved. I think that helped his sperm be stronger. Don't give up and don't be discouraged, it can take time. Charting your ovulation wouldn't hurt either.
