I have been taking Klonapin for years for agoraphobia and panic attacks. My prescription is for 1 mg twice a day though I skip it on days when I am not feeling anxious and don't expect to find myself in an anxiety-provoking situtation. I take it if I have to drive to an unfamiliar destination or expect to feel anxious in an upcoming situation, e.g. a class presentation. I recently read that Klonapin should not be taken for more than a few months. Could you explain the danger? Is it just potential addiction or are there other concerns? I am afraid to ask my doctor because it will sound like I am questioning his judgment.
In general, it annoys me that the directions that come with drugs say "don't do X" but don't say what will happen if you do X.
Thank you very much,
Peter
