Q: What's My Chances of Having Hiv/aids

I'm a teen who's not had any kind of sexual activity at all but ever since we've learned about HIV I worry because it is a scary disease. A health lady that came to my school said that you can get this by blood to blood contact but my parents say the disease dies 3 seconds after it hits air. What's my chance for having HIV, or any STD for that matter?

Quick-Question
The HIV does die 30 seconds to a minute after it leaves the body. For HIV to occur, you need three things.

1. A fluid HIGH in HIV eg blood, semen, vaginal fluids and breast milk.

2. An activity eg unprotected sex, sharing dirty needles, child birth and breat feeding.

3. You need a way into the bloodstream eg cut, puncture, tear or sore.

If you are NOT doing the activities mentioned above, you are not at risk.

Always
