Q: Bartholin Gland Cyst Or Not ? Help !

I've been reading all of the posts on the Bartholin Cyst and still have not read my exact symptoms.

It started as a minor discomfort in my vaginal area. Kind of itchy but nothing real noticable. The next day I started to get this bump on my left labia and it looked like maybe a pimple. it got bigger the next day and oh so tender. killed to sit down or have anything touch it. I started to get a white discharge and each time it hit the bump it would sting. The more active I was the more it hurt -- I guess because of the swelling.

By day 4 it was a lot better. The bump went down and the swelling too. Now (7 days later) there is no bump but the swelling is the same. My labia is so tender and i have to sit around it. It gets worse when i am out and about. The white discharge is there, but again there is no hardening there. it's just a big swollen labia.

So if it was a cyst and the cyst is now gone then why is it still swollen and tender? Is this something else. (BTW - I haven't had sex in 6 months - although I do use a vibrator weekly -- but not since this occured).

Help. Someone. Anyone. Crying or Very sad

I also wish I knew... :(
I haven't noticed any discharge with mine, and my swelling is more on the skin/tissue right at the opening of my vagina rather than the labia. The very small piece of skin i have there (on the left side) suddenly became sore once while having sex and was EXCRUCIATING to the touch after that, and i too had to be careful how i sat and sometimes how i walked. I tried to see what it was and only noticed that that tiny piece of tissue was more swollen than the tissue on the right side, though no hardening or any pimple-like growth occured. When i would try to move it to see it better it would sting so badly i'd involuntarily cry out or gasp. I've had this soreness and swelling for a while, but after telling my husband that I think it might be this cyst and that we needed to stay away from sex for a week or so, it's gotten much better. I still wish i knew for sure, though. And i'm scared to death that once i resume sex it will come back full force...
