Ok, so me and Baron CANNOT decide on a baby GIRL name to save our lives!!!

If it's a boy, it's going to be Baron IV, of course. But I think that the name should be stopped with Baron...move on to a DIFFERENT name. But, mreh, who am I to decide eh?

But when it comes to a girl name, he REFUSES to like any of the "STUPID" names I like. Granted, they're UNIQUE (not stupid!), I think they're wonderful!

But Keoki is TOTALLY out of the question in Baron's eyes. He likes Kasia...Kasia?!?!? Mreh, I don't know. It's ok...but I like Keoki!!!

I want my Oni&Oki!!!!!

He likes Gianna too. But I don't think it fits with Oni's name. How can I have one baby names Kayoni and the other Gianna? they don't match!

What can I do to open his eyes to Keoki? Or maybe just Oki?

HELLLLLP!!!

Sarah, Chris absolutely HATED the name Gabriel & he said "ABSOLUTELY NOT." When I suggested it. Even after I told him it was the only thing I could see us naming our son. We went in circles arguing over names. He absolutely hated everything I suggested. When we found out for sure it was a boy, he said, "well @#$%, what are we going to name him?" & I said, "Okay. You have two choices. Gabriel, or Skyler." He hateshateshates the name Skyler for a boy, so he instantly said "Fine. Gabriel." Twisted Evil If you don't want to name the baby Baron if it's a boy, but that's the way it's gonna be, it's only fair that you get to pick the name if it's a girl!

Yea, I think so too. But probably only because if it's a boy, it's already set in stone.

If we have a boy AFTER this Boy(if that's what it is), then I think it'll be SUPER easy to find a unique name I like!

It's just sooo frustrating to not be able to agree on a name.

NOBODY in my family like the name Kayoni Joilee when I came up with it, but now they LOVE it and couldn't find a more suitable name for my daughter!

EXACTLY Krissy!!!

But that's what the agreement was for Oni! Laughing

For this one, I said "ok, let's do this. If I get an epidural, then you can pick the name. If I choose not to have one, then it's alllll up to me."

But of course, he knows what's going to happen and isn't satisified with that agreement!!!!

I think that if I just keep up with Keoki, everyone will LOVE it!

When I mentioned Kayoni as a name people told me "you BETTER NOT name that poor child that! SHe'll be scarred forever!! She'll be made fun of for LIFE!! etc..."
ANd my response was always "she'll be SOOO beautiful that people won't care what her name is!!"

And look what happened! They ALL love it!!

SO I think I'm going to stick with my guns with Keoki!!!

I think if it's a boy and his name is automatically chosen by him/his family, you should have the say so for the girls name.

hm, well as much as I don't like the name Keoki (sp?) I have to agree with Krissy on this. If itas a boy and it has to be Baron IV or whatever, for a girl it should be what you want.

Oh shoot, did I say Baron IV? I meant Baron V...it's only one number, but it counts! lol!!

I, more than likely, wouldn't call the baby Keoki. She would be referred to as Oki.

Oni knows her name is Kayoni, but we're just more comfortable calling her Oni.

I think Oni & Oki is sooo effing cute! And they would have similar names!

I'm stubborn, and I have to sign the birth certificate TOO! So, it'll be a FIGHT to the ENNNNND!

I think I don't like the name because it reminds me of a cartoon. I liked Kayoni and still like it so maybe it will grow on me?

HAHAHAHA...a cartoon? I saw this cartoon the other day and the kids name was Omi...but of course it caught my attention and made me watch harder!

Baron seems to think its "way to asian sounding!!" But I think it fits with my style of naming!! I've liked this name since BEFORE I got pregnant!!

I think Keoki sounds very Hawaiian. I don't think it sounds Asian at all. But my vote doesn't count Razz

I know a lil girl named LaiLani so that's out!

Maybe KaiLani(kay-lani)...But I don't like Ani as a nickname. It sounds like the northern version of Oni.

I'm not sure about a boy name besides Baron V, because I've never thought about it!! Embarassed

I remember when Miguel didn't want to name the baby after himself, then all of a sudden it changed and he really wanted Chu's name to be Miguel. Rolling Eyes I honestly wouldn't give Baron a choice. I'd tell him flat out if you want to pick out the boy's name then I'm picking the girl's name. Men have too much say so and none of the work IMO.

neil didn't want layla when he first heard it. he wanted an old fashioned name but i just wasn't going for it. we both agreed on logan though straightaway as thta was going to be layla's name if she was a boy.

i say you should just think up some names then when she is born just see what name she suits
