If someone is willing to "do oral" it means they enjoy this and are not worried about "freshness."

It is true that some men are put off by female smells but I think this is due to some psychological problem.

There are occasions when a vagina can smell really strong and almost rank but washing in warm water will soften the smell.

Most men like the smell but the problem is that they are unwilling to admit to other men or even to women, that they do as there is some taboo about this.
I really do believe that if a woman wants to attract a man, or men, she should not be concerned about her smell. She will soon find that the man who pays her attention is probably someone who is attracted to her smell and this may well be the first step in a long and happy marriage!
Personally, I have always been instantly attracted to a woman with what I call a gentle fishy cuddly smell. It is a sort of under smell that is not obvious nor "up your nose" but somehow it is beckoning and seems to say "Please give me a hug" this I will do given the least chance!
Womens' underarm perspiration smell is also very erotic and attractive to the majority of men although if it is really strong, obvious and extreme it will raise a few eyebrows!
It may well be that the reason why some women worry about their vaginal smells is that they fear other women will brand them as sluts. Women can be very spiteful and unkind to other women and they will soon pick up on smells and go tittle tattling to other women but never mention it to the woman concerned. This is what I mean, has a woman ever been told, "By the way, I think you have a very smelly vagina, I can smell it from here." These things simply never happen so I think women worry unduly about the possibility of their being smelly as they have no one to turn to. The same applies to men. Personally, I have no interest in men in the physical sense and I will avoid a smelly man but never tell him he smells although it might be being kind to do so. I am also very careful to ensure that I do not smell so there we are, going around in circles.
So, girls, do not worry about being smelly to other people. Most of it is your imagination. If a man put his head up your dress or skirt for a little sniff around, he would probably be in heaven but I can assure you that the heavenly smell he would encounter would not be fanning around you.
Actually, I will let you into a little secret. If I ever give a woman a hug, and this I like to do as often as possible, I feel quite frustrated if she has no gentle smell about her. No smell is like hugging a model in a dress shop!
Women smell nice all over although bad breath and a really unwashed body can be a bit off putting but this is very very rare.
So there you have it in my opinion. Obviously, if you have worries, go to the doctor but remember this, cosmetic companies have a keen interest in selling deodorants so of course they will imply that women should use these to remain "fresh" at all times. This is all rubbish and may well do more harm than good to say nothing of relieving them of their hard earned money and keeping them anxious.

I would agree that a women wouldn't tell you that your vagina smells but......I have had someone come up to me and tell me another lady smelt like she had "dirty peeps" (peeps=vagina). I do believe that other people can smell you if its to strong. But i also know that every women has a scent and a different scent as well... But I do agree with the previous poster about guys liking that smell...why else would they steal your underwear? lol for the prize posession of hanging them on their entertainment center (like my boyfriend does)? NO!!! Because he doesn't steal the clean ones lol he takes the ones that have been used!! I find it odd but I guess its just what men like lol

Why do women smell funny down there
I am a man and I like to go without wearing underwear especially in the summer which can reduce the smell for women too Smile I tried to suggest this to my fiancee and she does not like the idea. I lie to her that she is not smelly but she is. I have to say that her smell is really bad and I of course have not gathered the courage to tell her. The problem is she wants to be told only good things and still have not come up with a way to tell her. She thinks that I like her smell and she is surprised that I do not like oral sex. The truth is, I love giving oral sex and have done it with others but when it comes to her, I just tell her due to cultural reasons I cannot do it (I am African and She is Italian, so she agrees). Anyway, how do you tell a stinking woman that she is stinky? I love her, do not get me wrong. Everything else about her is perfect. She has the best body in the world, has a PhD like myself, good job and we are planning on a family. Is this a small price to pay? Or will this haunt us later?

bbkbanger.

I hope the advice given makes you feel that you smell normal and lovely. It is a great pity that girls seem to spend their lives trying to get rid of their smell when in reality it is nature's way of making you attractive to the male.
Sometimes the smell can be strong and of ammonia particularly during a period but it is nothing to worry about as the smell of ammonia is associated with urine (ever changed a baby's nappy?)but the smell does not "spread" so will be undetected by others.
If a man recoils at your smell if he goes down on you, just ignore the fact or dump the man. Personally, if I hug a girl who smells, I feel I am in heaven and I do not want to let her go. I just want to fall on my knees and sniff the tops of her legs.
Girls smell nice and should be grateful to nature for this but by all means wash in warm water daily if you wish, after all it is your little body but I find it sad and such a pity if a girl does not smell at all.

That smell
Washing externally, and wearing clean clothes each day is best. You will have a scent regardless. Its just something that we dont have total control over. If your not feeling well, or its super, super strong make a gyne apt. They can look under a microscope and see whats going on. Dont ever douche..please! its so bad for you. The odor you smell is not coming from the inside of your vag, its the outside, your labia. Keep your butt clean also, that could contribute to the smells in that general area. And for the guys.. you all have your own scents and moments of b.o. Your semen has a smell and a taste to it. Lay off us girls and be glad someone with a pulse is spreading them legs for ya.

I don't think your boyfriend knows about women, it is normal to leak white stuff when having sex, it can be pre-ejaculation or maybe you are ejaculating premature,it is normal for a woman to climax multiple times during sex.

Are you his first girlfriend?

Try different soap and womens spays and deorderants, you may sweat more than other women, try showering abit longer, and dry off completely.

Recently I've been smelling fishy/stale all over I think and nothing has helped!!! I've tried perfume and baking soda and wipes but they haven't even helped. now I'm trying a fabric spray and it doesn't seem to be workingXC
this is really terrible for me and no one wants to be around me because of it, whats worse is that NO ones nice enough to tell me, but quick to cover their noses, get away, and talk about me behind my back
what can I do? what products can I buy???

Diet
It's pretty weird that nobody mentions diet. This is the number one contributor to what you smell like. Lay off the meat. If it was just bacteria then why doesn't your face smell when it sweats? Surely there is more bacteria there, because it's exposed.

The scent of a girl.
I have read all of the comments,. and some have been quite comical to say the least,. others,. have some good info. But here is the bottom line girls. THIS IS TRUTH. For one,. I notice a lot of the complaints seem to be coming from younger girls. As you go into your teen years,. and become more of a woman (with all parts working,. including sexual hormones) you are going to get a slight girlie smell. It is normal. As long as you keep the bacteria (sweat) off by daily showering,. drying off thoroughly before putting on your panties,. do not worry about it. Stale sweat,. which feeds bacteria,.. which creates the odor,. can be handled (removed) through daily washing. BUT,. if the smell becomes offensive (more then your arm pit after you have been running for instance,. as that is bacteria smell also),. then you likely have a yeast infection. THIS can only be cured by treatment. You can tell the difference. If you simply smell like sweat,. simply bath,. if you smell like something is WRONG (and you'll know it),. then you may have a yeast infection. And this is offensive to every man I have known. (I am a man btw). If you have never handled a yeast infection before,. talk to your mom or older sister (or friend) if you do not want to go to a doc. They can tell you how to get rid of it. BUT,. a nice clean girl (from bathing) will have a slight smell to her anyways,. VERY SLIGHT but it is there,. just under the soapy smell after a shower. That is normal and actually arouses a man whether he knows it or not. It is mother nature working. As far as thinking that you can smell yourself only when you are at school,. THAT IS NOT YOU! If you only think you notice your smell at school then it is probably someone sitting by you or the nasty old school chairs that have been sweated in for years without anyone ever cleaning them. So do not worry about that. If you actually smell,. you would notice it all of the time. In this case,. go back to the first part of my note here. AND GIRLS,. I hate to trump on that one guys statement but all men do not like smelling a girl who they hug (unless it is perfume) or smell sweaty armpits. As mentioned before,. digging body ODOR (bacteria) is a fetish,. but digging a natural clean smell of another human animal,. is normal. Personally,. I had a girlfriend that LOVED the smell of girls too,. as long as it was healthy and not bacteria or yeast. We use to talk about it. This is very normal for a girl to smell 'sexy',. just not 'offenisve'. So you could probably judge yourself! Do you find your smell BAD,. or is it kinda sexy? You will know, for instance, if it seems to turn you on as you play with yourself. And you WILL ALSO KNOW if it is bad. If so,. refer to the first part of my note. Bath,. and if it is still strong,. get treatment. Otherwise,. enjoy your youth and be SAFE!

Normally not. All women 'smell'. It's seldom got anything to do with washing.
