Could I Be Pregnant Or Not?

So I was about to take the pregnancy test that I bought yesterday in the morning, but I was so afraid that it was going to come out positive that I started my period that morning instead. So I didn’t take the test. However, I always start my period between the 16 and the 18 of every month. So it’s a whole week and a half early. I only bleed in the morning kind of brownish…and I didn’t bleed throughout the day or today so far. Does this mean there is no way I’m pregnant or should I just take the test even though I bleed?
