Hello to you all, I am new here. I don't have diabetes but a good friend of mine in puerto rico does.She has had a terrible time controlling her sugar levels. They are continuously high. Sometimes they level out only to surge upwards again. She eats a very good and controlled diet, walks regularly. She has lost over twenty pounds this last year and is getting frustrated with this all. Please note she also has had a heart valve replacement and takes coumadin as a blood thinner. Are there any suggestions on any topics that she or her doctor might be overlooking. She has lived by the book since her diagnosis a bit over a year ago. It frightens her as her brother died 7 years ago from complications os his bout with diabetes. He however didn't take care of himself as she does. Appreciate any info. Jim
