HIV and AIDS Forum - What's the Probability I Have HIV / AIDS

I have been studying in China for over two years now and there was one night last year in October that I did something that might affect the whole of my life. It was a Saturday night and I was out with friends at a bar, and down to the point, I went home with a chinese girl. Usually Chinese girls a very conservative and the girl i went home with wasn't which leads me to believe she may have been a prostitute .
We had unprotected sex three times and some time later(1 mnth) I developed what I believe to be swollen lymph nodes in the fold between my groin and leg which re occured a few months after it had disappeared.
I am fairly confident in saying that I DEFINITELY DID contract a sexually transmitted disease from her as I have experienced a little discharge and a little pain just after urinating (more of a burning sensation)
I haven't been tested yet . I need to go home and get tested because i'm afraid of deportation. I am really really scared. I don't know what to do in my present situation and there is really no one i can tell apart from this site. I heard that the probability of contracting hiv through unprotected sex is very slim 1/2000 . I just needed to tell someone so i put it down here.

You mean you want to go home to your country and get tested. That can wait coz we are talking China but you must get treated for other sexually transmitted diseases. Those cannot wait. I know China denies the fact that they have AIDS.

While you wait to test, make sure not to put yourself or others in danger. Use protection. When are you going home to your country?

I disagree with 1/2000 ratio. The fluids that carry Hiv in the body include semen and vaginal fluids. During sex, there is friction and little cuts and tears that we do not feel get created and the virus finds a way in. Unprotected sex is up there on the list of ways to get HIV/AIDS.

Make sure to get treated for other STDs. They wouldn't deport you for those I don't think.

When one has an STD, it easier to contract HIV.

Good advise,Mson....yes, places like China and Jamaica are very much in denial and intolerant when it comes to HIV and AIDS...sad.

dont worry .it would be some other stds.anyways get tested.and always use condoms.
