Recently( like today) I was in the hospital for mental health reasons :-\. I had awful body aches and every morning they would wake me up at 6am and take my blood pressure and not seem to care that it was 88/56. When normally I have high blood pressure... usually around 130/83 or so... Now mentally speaking I am bulimic and I know that can cause low blood pressure. But I've been bulimic for the last seven years and I'm not nearly as bad as I used to be. I am moving like an old woman, because of the aches and pains... Eventually I convinced him to take some blood tests. And as far as arthritis it's come back negative... arthritis? I feel like he's not trying hard enough. I'm nineteen... he also tested for lyme disease, but only because a nurse made him, because i stayed up the whole night sobbing from pain and he finally put me on celebrex, which minutely helped. As far as the blood pressure, its still low... another thing i noticed is that when i go to fall asleep i severely twitch all the time, like not just switch, but almost leg or arm spasms... does anyone know what could be causing this? He's my eatng disorder doctor yet, he didnt even bother to check my electroylyte levels... would that do it? Anyway I spent 5 hours sobbing today telling my psychiatrist i needed to get out of here just so i could receive proper medical treatment. He let me... I go to another doctor tommarow...

Hi there ..

I'm so sorry to hear that you are having such a crap time of it ...
I sympathise, but then, you don't need sympathy as much as answers and correct treatment ... you were right to insist on a different Medical Doctor other than he that is treating you for your eating disorder .. I wouldn't like to say that this is all connected, as you aren't supplying your body, organs, bones, muscles etc with the nutrition that is requires.

When you see this other doctor tommorrow, please make sure you tell him everything ... right down to the pills you have been taking, and the twitching / spasms.

BTW .. Arthritus means wearing of the bones, where they become weak and worn down ... I'm glad that came back negative.

I can re-post this in the 'Eating Disorders' forum, just for now, so that others that also have been or are experiencing the same symptons as this, can advise and help support you ..

Take care and stay strong

Ginger
