No one here can say what the chances are. She needs to tell her doctor though. It's possible that everything's fine, and it's also possible that the alcohol affected her baby somehow. But we can't tell you any more than that.

I really don't think one drink during an entire pregnancy would damage the baby. I'm not saying it can't but it's not very likely in my thinking. I'm basing that on the fact that my doctor's instruction sheet says I'm allowed to have a half a glass of wine a night. Taking that into account with this makes me think everything should be fine.

It makes me so mad cause she even says around people who smoke.and shes always stressing about the stupidest things.

BTW,she drinks energy drinks.and sometimes throughout the whole day she'll only have one meal.

It all depends on the alcohol level of the drink and how far along she is. more alcohol at an earlier stage of developement can cause more damage than less alcohol later on, etc.

She should know that she is not hurting her boyfriend when she pulls stuff like this, she is hurting her child. Especially drinking high caffeine drinks and not eating. She is only hurting herself and her child, but mostly her child.

If she's being irresponsible like that when she's pregnant then maybe she shouldn't keep her baby anyways. Actions are everything and this seems to be the start of DFS being called on her in the future for being so careless.

But it's her body, her baby...and if she doesn't want to make sure her baby is 100% healthy by eating right & not drinking then so be it. Her choice, she'll regret it in the future. I've known alot of girls to drink & stuff while being pregnant and their babies came out fine, so far. But that still doesn't make it right.

Even if my doctor said I could drink wine while pregnant I still wouldn't do it, Just because that's how I am, and my baby's life and the way he/she grows up in the future is very important to me! =D

How do you know a satellite isn't going to fall out of the sky and crash through the roof of your car? Statistically it isn't likely. But you don't really know for sure.

Yeah, you don't really know for sure, so don't say that a drink is not going to harm a pregnancy, because you have no idea. lol.

She obviously isn't mature enough to have a baby. Maybe you should talk her into giving it up for adoption. lol.
