Laser For Acne? Posted: 09-03-07 21:32pm


Hello everyone! I've heard some good things about laser treatment. Anybody here who has tried it for their acne? There seems to be different kinds of lasers but I don't know anything much about them. How safe are they? And which laser should I go for? Thanks!

I actually work for a spa and we have a laser for acne. I have tried it on my type of acne which is all tiny bumps no pustules and it made it a lot worse at first, but then it looked really good after everything healed. I would look for a laser that is a IPL(intense pulsed light). They are completely safe, the technician just has to be very knowledgeable about what setting she has you on or else you may get burned.Not to scare you, but it could happem. (Never happened in the two years I've worked there though) Like everything else it's gonna get worse before it gets better!
