We spent the weekend beach hopping in New Jersey and New York. It was soooo much fun. Enough chatter, here are the pics from my favorite beach (Seaside Heights).

burying papi in the sand

apparently sand is fun at this age... we just finished getting the sand out of all of the crevices today...

little fishy loves the ocean

he tried to break and run into the ocean... he wasn't pleased that I caught him.

Thankies, ladies!! We had such a blast, we decided to spend a whole week beach hopping next summer. Krissy, we don't actually live near a beach, we drove like 6-7 hours to Jersey just to beach hop. We're a little nuts right now. We were feeling stir crazy. Just a tip, every beach we went to in New York was disgusting. The beaches in Jersey are way better.

Next year we're going to start at Va Beach and work our way up to Jersey, then we're going to Skip New York entirely and hit up some New England beaches. Road trip anyone?

You need to come down to some NC beaches.... Talk about beautiful.

You're right, the NY beaches are pretty gross. NJ beaches are better, but some can still be kinda yucky!. VA beach is very nice also.

I love the beach. We took my niece in the ocean this weekend. She loved it...she had her life jacket on and was swimming like a fish. We kept having to pull her back in as she was swimming out to far.

Looks like you guys had fun.

I've never been to a beach in NC. Maybe we'll start there instead. Isn't it funny how much some kids love the water? I think maybe it's programmed in their dna. My son kept trying to break away and run into the ocean. He loved the waves.

What beaches in NY did you go to, Kay? We were on Long Island, & the beaches there were AMAZING.

The ones on Staten Island. Just Gross. South Beach and Great Kills Beach. We didn't get as far as Tottenville or whatever it's called because by then we were super tired. I think the Long Island beaches would be better because Long Island just seems to be nicer in general. In Jersey we went to Seaside Heights and Wildwood. I didn't like Wildwood much. It was a little too crowded and amusement park-y to me. I just want sand and waves!

Amen, sista. The water & sand & the air is enough for me! No need to overdo it with all kinds of silly attractions. That's just annoying.
& Yep, Long Island beaches are super super beautiful. Really clean & the sand is so soft & the water is as blue as blue can get. *Sigh* I miss it.

If you went all the way down to Wildwood, NJ, then you should have kept going down to Cape May, NJ. My parents used to have a house down there and I love it there. There is a more historic feel there then wildwood. I loved Wildwood when I was growing up (of course) because of the rides and stuff. But now that I am grown, Cape May would be more my style. They have a small boardwalk and beautiful beaches. You can take a ferry from Cape May to Lewes, Deleware to go shopping. Thats fun.

great pictures! that first one is a great family portrait!

i second checking out NC beaches! i vacationed at one once and it was the nicest beach i've ever seen. the water was so warm and clear, there were shells *everywhere*, and you could go out wicked far and it was still only 4 feet deep. i loved it.

the beaches here in NH aren't that great. the water is cold, there's more pebbles than sand, and there's a ton of seaweed. maine beaches are nice though! finn and i will meet you there!
