I got a really bad rash and thought it was allergies and when i finally went to the doctor he tested me and i have mono. I have an very itchy rash covering my whole body. And like i said before its not from amoxicilion or whatever. How long does it last?

your rash is called stevens johnson syndrome and it's very serious but rare (except on these pages!) allergic reaction to the virus. more often it comes when mono is treated with antibiotics but in my son's case he got the syndrome from the mono itself. by now you're probably done with it but just for the record, see a doctor. it can get much much worse. if it's a light case, you'll still have to deal with the horrific itching. see my family's earlier posts under mono rash....

This is not correct
Stevens Johnson is very rare and most mono rashes are not stevens johnson...they are more mild measles like (I am only talking about the ones NOT associated with amoxicillin)

The above comment should be deleted and used as an example of why not to get your medical advice from the web.
