Bladder Or What?
Posted: 03-21-04 03:39am

I have an overwhelming sensation to pee, immediately after I have already peed (not sure if that is how to spell). It is so great that it brings tears to my eyes. It last about a minute, growing more painful as it peeks, then its gone until I pee again. Any advise. Not sure what this is.
It is all in my vagina not my stomache.

Thanks

Sounds very much like cystitis, i've had it before, horrid stinging pain when peeing and also wanting to go all the time, even after you have just been.

Its very common and you can probably get some medication over the counter from your drugstore (talk to your pharmacist about your symptons).

This is just a suggestions, I could be wrong of course, so its always best to go see your doctor if your worried about your health.

Hope you feel better soon.

Penny

ps. Not sure how getting medication works in the us, so forgive me, im from the uk Wink

edit : just checked it out and cystitis is a bladder infection which you will need antibiotics for, so if it works over in the us like here in england then you will have to see your doctor to get them, we cant buy antibiotics over the counter in the uk.

I agree it sounds like you have a bladder infection.. I just got over one myself so the symptoms are very familiar! You do need to see your doctor. They will do a simple urine test and if it's positive for bacteria they will give you a week of antibiotics to take and some meds to help ease the pain of having to go to the bathroom every 5 seconds.

The above advice is the same as I would give, I just have one thing to add. I see that you are from pa, so here we can go to family planning and get in right away. Plus, if you are under 18, it is free. And depending on your income it is cheaper than going to a regular doctor. They will get you in right away and they will usually give you the antibiotics that they have right there in the office, but go soon so your infection does not get worse!
