Hello Rendoling,

Compression therapy has gone a long way since medical support stockings were prescribed by doctors to patients post -surgery, or those suffering from venous diseases like lymphedema, deep vein thrombosis, chronic vein insufficiency years ago.

Today, research reveals more benefits are offered when wearing compression stockings and they can now be purchase even without prescription as long as you know the right compression for your needs.

They help prevent and treat vein disorders like leg swelling, spider veins, varicose veins and help keep legs from feeling tired, heavy and achy.

Having said the information, compression socks have been made in the finest material and uses technology to ensure the highest comfort for the wearer without sacrificing the benefit of compression therapy.

Also, there is no known side effect of wearing compression socks/stockings, unless you are prohibited to wear one because you are suffering from conditions such as Ischemia (advanced arterial disease) of the legs, Uncontrolled congestive heart failure, Untreated septic phlebitis of the leg.
Wearing compression stocking does not also increase blood pressure, in fact it regulates blood flow to and from the heart this in effect keeps blood pressure regulated.

Hope this info helped you!
Good Luck!

For your compression therapy needs you can check the company based in Fort Lauderdale called Legs Therapy. I got my stockings from their online store and they have good prices.

Thanks!
