gallbladder ? severe abdominal pain on right flank Posted: 09-02-07 11:33am
I have had right flank pain for about one
year now. I have been to doctors and they
say its nothing. My granny thinks its my
gallbladder. Now i have had this pain
again for 2 days sometimes it makes me
double over and sometimes it moves into my
back. Can anyone please help me!!!!!!!!
Severe abdominal pain under the right
ribcage that moves towards the back is
typical for gallbladder-pain. Gallbladder
pain can be due to gallstones or a
gallbladder infection. Both conditions are
often present together at the same time.
There are many other disorders that can
cause abdominal pain such as a peptic
ulcer, pancreatitis, appendicitis,
cystitis, kidney stones, intestinal
infections… Several diagnostic
procedures can be requested to find out
the reason for the abdominal pain:
You can visit your GP to request these
diagnostics or an internist, if necessary.
