can u get AIDS if u swallow blood ? high risk behavior for HIV ? Posted: 09-02-07 01:32am
I dated a girl that used to be a drug
addict but she was just out of rehab
and decided to start a new life so she
attended my college.
she seen like a nice girl we talked have
good conversations
we dated for 3 weeks and we had sex 3
times in 1 single occasion.
At the time of having sexual intercourse
we kissed kind of deep
and the 3 times we had sex that night I
used a condom and also K-Y jelly to
prevent the condom from breaking or
slipping off
Im pretty sure the condom worked fine
those 3 times my only concern is
maybe that when I took the condom out my
penis might have come in contact
with some of the vaginal fluids but I also
doubt that... after taking the condom out
I washed my penis with warm water.
The only thing that scare me from all this
is that
she told me that her friend just died from
the virus and that
her dad has it... am I being too paranoid
because of the fact that she
knows people that are HIV positive... or
was I at high risk?
can u get aids if u swallow blood

If this woman ONLY KNOWS people that are
HIV-positive, then there is nothing to be
worried about. But if she had intimate
contacts with those people then you should
be very careful when having sex with her.
Being a former drug abuser is another
risk. Using condoms when having sex with
such persons is absolutely necessary. As
you described, you used condom that time
so the risk for becoming infected with HIV
is very small. Nonetheless, you can
perform HIV-testing and you can also
recommend that your girlfriend to do the
same.
If you swallow blood infected with HIV you
can get infected only if you have some
erosions in the mouth, throat or
esophagus.
