penuts and any nuts in general you should stay away from because they can cause food allergies to the baby

I ate peanuts, cashews, etc during my entire pregnancy. My OB never advised against it and my son is perfectly healthy. As a matter of fact I went into an appointment eating peanuts and she never said a thing.

Stay away from freshwater fish, shark, swordfish, or basically any large fish. If you are going to eat tuna, stay away from albocore tuna. Light tuna is ok once a week. Salmon is very good for you, lots of Omegas which supports healthy brain and eye development in your baby.

Take your vitamins and drink loads of water.

Don't drink alcohol or allow anyone to smoke around you. Don't eat raw meat such as sushi or undercooked poultry. Limit your caffiene intake (a bit is fine) and remember to drink lots of water.

I ate peanuts through my entire pregnancy, and my daughter has no allergy to them yet. Peanuts are very nutritious: they contain protein, fiber, and vitamin e. Get them lightly salted, though... watch your sodium intake.

Lots of fresh fruit and veggies, lots of water (can't stress water enough), and lean meats. Snack on grapes, nuts, and lightly salted popcorn. And remember to do some light exercise, like walking or swimming.

Dyeing your hair is okay, as long as you're in a well-ventilated area.

DON'T DRINK ALCOHOL!!! Everything you eat, at least 99.9% of it, passes through the placenta to your baby. That's why if you eat curry, your baby will like spicy things, because your baby can taste it (yes, they use all of their senses in the womb).

I'm with Mommy35, my doc said nothing is wrong with peanuts, so next time I go shopping, I'm stocking up on cashews (omg I can't get enough of them!)

caffeine is a whole different story... tea and coffee contain phenols, which basically block the absorbtion of iron. You shouldn't have more than 300mg, if any. So that's about 2 or 3 cups (8 oz) of coffee. Tea on the other hand, has 10mg per 8oz, but is still not a good idea to drink during a meal.

Try to avoid anything raw (sushi, eggs, eggnog) and anything unpasturized, that includes most soft cheeses. Repeating some people again, deli meats (and YES that includes hot dogs). Fish high in mercury, which include shark, swordfish, king mackerel, and tilefish. You should also not eat fish more than twice a week.

Liver is of course high in vitamin A, but too much is bad for your baby. So again, try to avoid it.

And last but not least, of course, don't eat anything that you (duh) or your partner are allergic to! Chances are more if you are allergic to something, so is your unborn baby.

Thank you for reading this LONG paragraph, but I hope it helped, these are basically the guidelines I'm going by..

Good Luck everyone!
