Am I At Risk Even Thought I Used Condom the Right Way ? Posted: 09-01-07 23:12pm
Ok this is my story...
I met this girl at my college and I got to
know her, I know she used to be a drug
addict and since her personal background
is none of my business I didn't ask much
about it.
Within time me and this girl were kind of
dating. When it comes to sex I always take
care of myself, meaning I always use
protection because I think I'm too young
to have kids (25 y o ) and also because I
don't want to catch and STD in this case
HIV.
When time time came for us to have sexual
intercourse, we talked about our past
sexual experiences and she confirmed that
she was clean and that she takes cares of
herself and get a check up every 6 months.
I know I'm clean because I have gotten
tested 2 months ago and the results were
negative.
Now, the only thing that bothers me and
scares me a little bit is that fact that
she mentioned that she had a friend that
just died from the virus (HIV) and that
her dad has it, but she made it clear that
she is clean.
During sexual intercourse I always used
protection, used a condom and to make sure
the condom doesn't break I also applied
k-y jelly just to take precocious. That
night we did it 3 times and the condom
didn't break or slipped off.
Another thing that kind of scared me was
that i think she mentioned that she has
cut her lip with my chain and had little
blood in the right side of her lip but I
don't know if I kissed it while the blood
was in her lip.
Everytime We were done I will take off the
condom and I will wash my penis with warm
water.... I do that everytime I have
sex...
based on everything I have described
do you think I'm at risk?

If she says she is clean and you trust her
then you are fine. If she does have HIV
than pretty much any blood contact puts
you at high risk. You should both go and
get tested together but don't make her
feel like you think she is lieing. She is
most likely telling the truth but I think
it is always good to get tested together
in a relationship where one or both people
has had sex before.

well yeah she said she was clean...
we were planning on having a relationship
but we had to split up
because she needs to spend more time with
her daughter
and transfered to another college
so me and her lost contact....
on the details I explained
Im not really sure if I could've been
infected if she was positive
But I highly doubt it but u know theres
always a doubt...
because now these days It's hard to trust
anybody....

Get tested with her as a bonding thing to
ease your mind. It is the only way
