Q: Birth Control Question

I'm seeing all kinds of commercials for birth control that help with PMS symptons and acne and shorter periods. I have had a tubal after the birth of my third child 11 years ago so there is no immediate benefit for me to take birth control but how do I take advantage of the other benefits birth control seems to offer? Are there other products out there and I just don't know about them? And I don't think my insurance company would cover birth control since I had a tubal. What does anyone think?
