Q: skin colored bumps flare up when itching / itched - blood spots
asked by: DoctorQuestion on September 1st, 2007
I couldnt figure out how to ask a medical question.. I hope this is it :)
Here it is.. please help!!!! I dont have medical insurance and Im just wondering if this is serious enough to seek help beyond this. I started itching on my legs about 5 weeks ago.. and it was terrible but I thought it was associated to getting waxed and was waiting for it to pass.. 2 weeks later, it moved to my arms.. not it is on my hands, my neck part of my back and moving up my face and ears.. You cant see it unless I scratch it. Then it flares up as skin colored bumbs EVERYWHERE!!! Then, as if that wasent enough.. I lightly scratch myself now and I have blood spots under my skin like I got severely hit by something.. it is really scary.. any thoughts??? What could this be??
Thank you so much! Im a mother to twin babies and a 4 year old.. I have to be healthy for them, but its hard without health insurance.. so, can you help?? Thank you again,
Nina Douck

Gland Disorders Answer A3345
It is very hard to diagnose your problem without seeing the skin lesions. The “skin colored bumps” and “blood spots under the skin” have to be seen by a doctor or dermatologist would be the best. Blood analyses (blood count, sedimentation rate coagulation status, liver status, kidney status etc.) should be also done. Those skin lesions can be also due to a disorder located outside the skin (for example a hematological disorder).
