Pain in the back and leg can originate from the muscles, nerves or an abdominal organ. Muscle pain on the back and leg can also be due to injury, overwork, prolonged cold exposure, spinal static disorders etc.

Nerve pain is caused when something creates pressure on the roots of the spinal nerves. That something is usually a spine disorder (spondilosis, static disorder…). Spondilosis is not typical for your daughter’s age but static disorders (scoliosis, kifosis, lordosis) are. Other intra-abdominal disorders like kidney stones can also cause back pain that can propagate to the inner leg.

Your daughter can be examined by a GP. She may also need an abdominal ultrasound and X-ray image of the spine. You can also consult an internist if necessary.
