Extremely eHealthy
Ive had many people ask me which is better---Hot or cold? I found something that explained it even to me.

Cold is used to reduce pan and swelling that come from immflamation. It helps releive chronic pain from:
Arthritis
back pain
burns
headache pain
neck pain
sinus inflamation
Stress
Toothaches
and other chronic pain

Cold and then Hot

Conditions that begin with inflamation should be treated with first cold to reduce pain and swelling then switch to heat to help promote the healing process and to restore flexibility.used for:
Muscle sprains/strains
Post-surgical pain
Injuries and other acute pain.

Heat is used to releive pain and restore flexibility for specific ailments such as:

Arthritis
Cramps
Muscles aches
Menstrual cramps.

You can also use heat befor you exercise for increased mobility.

Excellent information Dyan. Very Happy

I'd like to add that moist heat is helpful also because it gets the blood moving. I use both and couldn't live without them.

God bless...
Carol
