Q: Bacterial Viagnosis.

I was diagnois with Bacterial viagnosis. The doctor prescribe for me to take Metronidazle. Im taking it now but me and my boyfriend have unprotected sex all the time. Can he be affected with it? If so how can he and i tell?

ive also had bacterial vaginitis , im not 4 sure if it can be past down, but its common in women.

It is possible he could get a urinary tract infection from you, so I believe both of you need to be treated simultaneously with antibiotics.

Definitely, otherwise you could pass it to him, he could pass it right back, and you'd both have it for forever!

I'd suggest condoms for a while, and antibiotics for both of you. Of course, if you tell your doc that you are sexually active they should be able to tell you what you should do.
