Dear mod-

Perhaps this thread has gone south?

I second that. Intelligent debate? No. Emotional rambling? Yes.

Although the pictures were nice.

Back to the original point of this thread:

I think many people become pro-life because they get brainwashed by the fake pictures paraded around by shady pro-lifers. When they think about abortion, they picture an actual baby being ripped to shreds in an abortion clinic.

Then they wonder what kind of monster could want that done to their own baby, so they begin to hate the women who abort.

The odd thing is, no matter how educated they become on the subject, like learning that no baby is involved in abortion, and in the majority of the cases there is no fetus either, just a tiny, tiny embryo that is barely visible, the fake images of babies being killed still persist in their minds when they hear the word "abortion".

I actually seeing (thanks to the bodies exhibition) embryos and fetuses from the all these early weeks of development. I know exactly what it is that is killed at the moment of abortion. And yeah I still wonder how could someone want to do end their lives...

I wish I could see that exhibition. Everyone raves about it.
Did they have fertilized eggs? How young a body did they have, and what did it look like?

Like I said this one is solvable.. we'll just remove the placenta, that keeps the embryo inside; everyone goes home happy.

no they don't have fertilized eggs. They have from 4 weeks on. 4 weeks to 10 weeks, then they jump to like 20 weeks. How it looked? You really have got to see it for yourself. It's really interesting exhibit

I really wish they could, but then who would pay to maintain that child until it is born?

I just went to the bodies exhibit website. It's not coming to my area anytime soon. I'll keep checking it, though.

Thanks for the info about it.

What would I picture when I hear abortion?

Among many things, I picture a woman I would never marry! Razz

hehehe.. Eiri..um.. no placenta = no oxygen/ blood/ nutrients for embryo.. Razz

Embarrassed; any man who doesn't believe in my right to choose is someone I'd never marry; course I'll never marry anyway but that would be a big factor for me.

I do believe the intention was to remove the fetus and the food supply aka the placenta so that an artificial system could sustain it until viability.

I have never had abortion in my life and honestly, I wouldn't want one. Just a few months ago, I gave birth to my first son, and there's no way I could have lived with myself if I had an abortion and never got the chance to hold him in my arms.

Yes, but do you feel other women still have the right to abort?

Good luck with your newborn. I am glad you have some sense of what is good and right (For all women, even if they don't understand yet)! Very Happy

Yes, because ALL WOMEN are stupid murderous fools who need to be protected by the men of this world who of course know better than we do! We're DUMB! Save us, strong violent male!!! Protect us from wanting to control our own bodies - goodness knows what would come of that!

I see you have finally begun to learn since my last visit. Good for you! I give you a 1 out of 3 chance of being marriage material by the end of 07!
