What Will My Baby Look Like?!

Ok, so i'm pregnant and have been having
some confusion about genetics and all
that.
I'm fully white caucasian (altohugh i
can't spell it) with light brown/dark
blonde natural hair colour and blue eyes.
My bf, the father of the baby is half
Phillipino as his mum was full
phillipino.
So he obvs has very dark eyes, brown skin
(though not as dark as full phillipinos)
and dark hair.
Our baby will then presumably be quarter
phillipino.
Does this mean he/she will definately have
fully dark complexion or could they end up
with dark hair and blue eyes or
something?
Also confused as to what skin colour would
be.
I reckon quite tanned olive colour.
Not sure!!!
Anyone no anything about this who can help
suggest what baby might look like??
Sorry this is long!!
Thanks for reading anyways.

I can't help you out very much, but
Diamondz (Jess, white) has 2 babies, tho
their father is full Phillipino. Her kids
are olive skin with dark hair and eyes,
and they are GORGEOUS!
My daughter is 1/2 Hispanic, and I am
white skinned....and in my avatar is a pic
of my daughter.
It's likely the dark hair/eyes will be the
dominant traits, but it all has to do with
genetics beyond the mom and dad. You'll
get a surprise

my moms mom and dad both had green eyes
and i got brown...somehow
also all of my family has dark hair except
me and my little sis
my sister was born with naturally so so
blonde almost white hair and mine was a
sandy blonde color. but my parents both
have dark brown hair and does do my
brothers and my older sister.
genetics are wierd
travis has very dark hair and dark eyes
and his mom has dark hair and dark eyes

my guess is that our babuy will probbaly

Hello,
I am also pregnant, 4 months, and I am
full white with light brown/dark blonde
hair and blue eyes. My partner is half
Thai, with brown hair/eyes and tanned
skin, so my baby will be quarter thai!
I also cant wait to see what the baby will
look like, I have been told that there is
37% chance blue eyes, 12% green eyes, and
51% brown.
It will most likely have skin that tans
easily, and brown hair. It could be fair
when young but most likely darken as they
get older.
Of course there is a chance they could
come out fair haired and blue eyed, or
dark haired and brown eyed, its all down
to genetics.
It can also get traits from the
grandparents, his mum is full thai but his
dad has blue eyes which heightens the
probability of the baby having blue eyes.
My father has hazel eyes which is also a
cross between blue and brown, so the baby
could have hazel eyes!!
I hope this helps in some way!!

We're pretty much in the same position!!
How did you find out those probabilities?
I'm fairly convinced it's gona be
brown-eyed, brown-haired, tanned skin lol.

Well theres a web site that will tell you
the eye colour probabilities, just type in
what colour eyes will my baby have you
should be able to find it. I also posted a
msg on medhelp to ask them what the child
would most likely look like!
How far gone are you?

no i don't! wish i did!
I found that website and for anyone else
who is reading this who is interested it
is
museum.thetech.org/ugenetics/eyeCalc/eyeca
lculator.html
My result came out as 20.8% chance of
blue, 29.1% green and 50% brown.
So there's more chance than I thought of
them not being brown!

ill just add a quick thing...my sisters
son who is now 6 is part spanish and part
itilian and german and irish...my sister
has Dark Brown hair and hazel eyes...and
the bays father has Dark Black hair and
Brown eyes...and since the day my nephew
was born he has had Red hair and Blue eyes
and Pale white skin...his hair has turned
more strawberry blonde now...but thats
just an example of how babies can turn out
totally differnt then the parents...it can
get genes from grandparents and great
grandparents and so on

than his father with blondish hair!

With the skin color its hard to say,
because the genes that control pigment run
along a contiuum. Most likely the baby
will be lighter than him but darker than
you.
As for eye color, if you have blue eyes
than you do not carry the trait for brown
eyes at all. Blue eyes are a recessive
trait. It is possible however to carry the
gene for blue eyes and have brown eyes.
B B
b Bb Bb
b Bb Bb
In that case, the bb is the blue eyed
individual, and the BB is the brown eyed
one (in the case that the person with
brown eyes does not carry the blue eye
trait at all.) In this case, all the
babies would always have brown eyes, but
carry the gene for blue eyes as well.
B b
b Bb bb
b Bb bb
In that case, there is a blue eyed
individual (bb), and a brown eyed
individual (Bb) who carries the trait for
blue eyes as well. With this combination,
there is a 50-50% chance that the baby
will have either brown or blue eyes.
Its pretty simple to figure out if your
boyfriend has the blue eye trait in him.
If either of his parents has blue eyes
than he does. If not, look at his
grandparents. If one of them does his
mother/father carries one recessive copy
of the gene as well, which he would in
turn carry and could possibly pass on to
cause a 50% chance of a blue eyed baby.
