Need Some Help Please
Posted: 08-30-07 16:38pm

I am at the end of my rope. Don't know what to do. It's a long story or explanation so please bear with me.
I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, migraines, depression, social anxiety, epilepsy, mvp, ibs.
I have about 5 doctors I see on a monthly basis and I just added another to the pile which is a chiropractor. What he has been doing does help but only for a short while. (mabey an hour max) The reason I added him is because my back arms and legs are in so much pain I can't handle it anymore. I have a very high pain tolerance. So for me not to be able to handle it is bad.
I was told today by him that it seems to him it might not be fibromyalgia.
All doctors can't figure this one out either I do have a MRI coming up for my lower back and shoulders. it's still 2 weeks away. I am going totally nuts here because I don't know what is going on with my own body.
I just basically need someone out there if they know what it might be please tell me so I can have one of the doctors I see do test for it.

Here is what has been going on:
I turn the air on as low as I can to were I don't freeze my kids out usually about 70 to 72 also have fans going and I will be dripping with sweat.
I can no longer play games with my kids or do anything due to pain.
The migraines have been getting worse and more often the nurologist has tried me on many things but nothing has helped them so far.
My back is killing me to the point that I can't get normal house work done (ex. dishwasher loading and unloading, washing clothes, cooking)
My arms and legs get so weak it feels as though I have heavy weights on them as I try to do things. I tried hammering in 1 nail and had to rest my arm 4 different times. (I have to keep my hair short because I can no longer fix it.)
My feet get really sore when I walk
Having painful upper and lower stomach pains
Have alot of trouble sleeping I am lucky to get 3-5 hours a night.
I have trouble remebering peoples names, birthdays etc. there is just too much going on with me I break down daily because there is things I need to get done on a daily basis, and I just can't anymore. It bothered me to call the health dept. to get help with keeping my house cleaned. just waiting to hear back. any information is helpful.

I did go see one doctor today his reaction over me asking him about it was. It seems as though I have some of the symptoms but it's just the fibromyalgia acting up.
Who knows it could be. It's just they have me on about 12 different meds and so far its not helping the fibromyalgia. It's just wearing me out going through this. Thanks though

It seems to me that doctors like to attribute pain they can't diagnose to fibromyalgia, and stomach discomforts that cannot diagnose as IBS. Smile

He might be right. It could be your fibro acting up, but it certainly couldn't hurt to do a little work up.
