I've been having a lot of stress and
anxiety lately, and with that, I have
suffered a few panic attacks recently for
the first time. They were pretty scary
because I had never experienced them
before. My heart was beating so fast I
thought I was going to die. Which leads me
to my stupid question, assuming one has NO
heart problems whatsoever and is overall
pretty healthy, can your heart beat so
fast during a panic attack that it just
stops?

When I smoked pot I used to feel as if my
heart was beating so fast that it would
stop. It never really happened though. Not
even when I did cocaine and other strong
stimulants.
If drugs couldn't stop my heart, I doubt
your heart beating fast naturally from
attacks could stop it, unless maybe you
have heart problems and are very old.

I seriously doubt it.... I remember when I
had my first panic attacks and they were
just like that. My heart was beating so
fast and my throat felt tight. I know this
is easier said then done, but you just
have to find a place to sit down and just
RELAX - watch TV or anything, just to get
your mind off of it.
If you keep having them, you really should
see a doctor... but after awhile you will
learn to control them.

No, it can't. Your heart can beat over 200
beats a minute without doing any damage to
your heart for days and even weeks. I
doubt you come close to that but if you
do, don't worry about it. Your heart knows
what to do when you're
asleep..........don't pay too much
attention to how it beats.
