Since having my son three years ago, my breasts have been leaking. First my doctor tried several forms of birth control pills to regulate my hormones but the problem persisted. After 9-12 months, I started on 1 dose of Bromocriptine/day. That helped them from overtly leaking, but if they were 'encouraged,' leaking was immediate. I got up to 3 doses/day. Side effects were unbearable, mostly nausea. Now over two years since starting the Bromocriptine, the symptoms continue. There has been one incident of overt leaking. I went to the doctor about 2 weeks ago. We agreed I would stop the medication and change to pill that has no inactive pills, in hopes my body would step in and try to regulate itself. My prolactin reading at that visit was 27. I have had an MRI, nothing was there. I need advice about what to do now. If in a month, nothing has changed, I will ask my doctor to refer me to a specialist. I feel like this is hopeless and I'm scared of what would happen if i had another child.
