Yay! I'm glad everything turned out to be fine. I have my glucose test on the 4th, but I heard it's not too bad. Just drink a very sweet drink and get blood drawn...it could be worse. Glad that you're gaining weight now and aren't stuck at 104lbs.

yeah the glucose test shouldnt be too bad i suppose
and yeah i was so glad i gained another 5lbs which really made me feel better
ive been eating alot healthier and drinking 7 bottles of water a day now lol
hopefully i will gain another 5 in the nest few weeks

LOL For once it's good thing to be gaining weight! I think since my last appointment in on July 30th, I've gained about 4 lbs, which seems pretty good to me. I hate going so long without seeing my doctor, it's driving me crazy.

i go back in 3 weeks and then after then she wants to see me every two weeks as i get closer to my due date

ugh u reminded me about giving blood... The glucose drink tastes like flat orange soda but a little thicker. with macy i almost threw up but with liam it was ok.

I get the cola kind..I heard it's not as bad tasting as the orange. But who knows. My mom told me yesterday to not drink a pepsi with the drink because it'll make the numbers really high.....NO, REALLY?!? Lol.

mine tasted like regular fizzy orange soda. i did get a little woozy afterwards, but that's probably because i hadn't eaten all day.

LOL when I had that test with Hannah there were I think 4 pregnant ladies sitting in the blood center that day. Since we all had to have a lood draw every hour, we were all sitting there knitting! It was so funny. 4 hours of that is pretty freaking boring, though! I got 15 rows of her baby blanket done that day (which was huge because it was 175 sititches wide!)

mine was only an hour test. And I wasn't told I had to fast. Thank God I didn't fail cuz I'm a needle-phobe and would have caca! lol!

My experience sucked though, becuase the drink wasn't cold. It was room temp and orange. Which is a flavor I despise. I asked for grape or something else, but was basically ignored.

The lady rushed me too! She said I had to dirnk it with 7-10 mins! And it was HORRIBLE! flat, hot, thick, ornage drink! blah!

I'm having this one at a different hospital(not by choice), so maybe it'll be different with the drink!

yours should only be an hour. it sounds like heather had to go back for the 3 hour test, which you get if you fail the 1 hour.

i didn't even have to wait. they gave me my drink at an earlier appointment and told me to drink it 45 minutes before i got to the lab. so i drank it at home, drove the half hour to the lab, and waited maybe 10 minutes.

do you have to fast beforhand?!

i was told not to fast and to eat normally because they wanted to test my blood on how it would be on a normal day. does that make sense? i can never figure out how to word that... i was so afraid of my breakfast throwing off the test and causing me to fail that i did fast though. it wasn't necessary though, i passed well within the normal range.

and sarah's right, you have to drink it fast. i had to drink mine within 5 minutes.

*sigh* im soo exited about this lol

orange crush with 25 lb bag of sugar added yuk that is what it taste like for me i always turn white and almost pass ut everytime i drink it so the last time they let me drink unsweatened tea after it so i was feelin betrter then.

7 bottles a day!!!!!!!
