Q: What is the reason for low white blood cell count ?

What is the reason for low white blood cell count? What are the implications? How serious could the implications be? Thanks in advance for your help.

White blood cells (granulocytes, monocytes and lymphocytes) are responsible for the human defense against infective agents. Low white blood count (leucopenia) is present during many disorders where an immune deficit is also present.
