I agree with you Georgia. There is no 'god' in government and if there is it isn't my god.. why should I care what a mythological figure has to say? Thats like claiming my teddybear can talk.. not gonna happen..

I know all of this. I see no problem with saying that not all stages of human development are people.
I as YOU to seriously consider the major differences between a 12 week fetus and a born baby. I ask you seriously to please stop disregarding these differences.
I ask you to seriously consider the dangerous reprecussions of illegal abortion. Instead of dead "babies", you will have a dead baby AND mother. You will have higher rates of impovershed mothers. You will have more unloved children in orphanages. Every single accident will be punished instead of forgiven.
Word play, word play. Baby. Child. We know what emotions and images those words conjure. It is emotional warfare, instead of logic.
When human material is not a Person is not a horrid discussion at all. We are not promoting discrimination based on race, or age, or sexual preference. In fact most pro-choice people promote acceptance of all born humans. Many pro-lifers I know are also homophobes. That sickens me. They get both concepts from the same place.
I cannot understand a person who promotes love and caring towards a human that is not even sentient, yet will scream, yell, say horrible things, judge and condemn a born sentient human being for... being in love. It is so hypocritical that it makes me want to pull my hair out. They HATE gays, they make fun of them at work and drive them away, they have been known to murder gays, to abuse them physically, to try and "reform" them at camps, and other dastardly things. They can't just... let them be, let them live their lives the way their bodies and minds are telling them to.
I need to end the homosexual rant. Back to abortion.

I agree as well! My religion is different from the "mainstream" one, yet I have to follow laws made by it? what?

I have a homosexual daughter; I love her girlfriend because the is wonderful person and makes my daughter happy. I am PC. My daughter is PC, her grandmother is PC, her great grandmother was PC all her life.
it has often seemed to me that PL associates homosexuality and abortion; since last I heard it takes two of opposing sexes to get pregnant I am not sure why they do such a foolish thing.

I went for my marriage liscence last friday at the Wake county government office. Well in the top of the certificate is written in very big letters this
"Those Whom God Hath Joined Together Let No Man Put Asunder"
talk about God not involved in government hehe

By myth you refer to the existance of a supreeme being, it maybe a myth, it may not be I can not know for sure, but the truth of God is the supreeme truth. I have God given rights, and so long as God is giving me these rights, you cant take them off me.... That is the truth of God. It is why people should turn away from their governments who declare themselves to be God, declare that they have the supreeme truth and the right to decide which human beings have the right to life or not. Christ is the saviour of the world, his light, his truth will shine ever more brighter as our governments head into the abyss of darkness and everyone on here will begin to see the light of Christ shine amid this darkness and people, yes even people on here will turn away from the lies, deciet and darkness of the political forum and will come to the truth of God. For God is our protection, our strong hold and our comforter.

They have no respect for themselves or for others all they see is money and power, manipulation, control and the media is their tool!
Turn away from your governments and to the truth of Christ, dont look to them for guidance and leadership, scoundrels all. They will sell their own grandmothers for political office, sell the rights of every man woman and child for a quick buck. Only the truth shall set you free.

Why can't gay people be christian? Why can't they have a christian wedding?
I really do feel it is time for another split in the church: those who wish to be old fashioned can continue picking and choosing what they want to believe as literal truth from the bible, including homophobia.
The rest of us can bring christianity into the new age. The bible too, as a book of stories and knowledge and a very unique view of ancient peoples and how they viewed life. As literal truth however? No. We will NOT use this book to discriminate against any group of people for any reason, even if hateful messages are written within. Why? Because we know that this book was written back "then", and we are living "now". Then and Now are not the same. The world has changed.
I really do feel it is time for another split in the church: those who wish to be old fashioned can continue picking and choosing what they want to believe as literal truth from the bible, including homophobia.

2. They can have a christian wedding (although i cant see why they would want to)
Conditions:

Homesexuals can definetly be christian, my brother was gay and was christian..but they can't have a Holy Matrimony because that is reserved to the union of a man and a woman not man with man or woman with woman.

But WHY is it reserved for only a man and a woman? Give me a good reason ASIDE from "homosexuality is a sin".

If they want to be married in a Catholic church then surely they must believe in what the Catholic church teaches.

Then almost nobody should be married in a Catholic Church. 96% of Catholic couples use/will use contraception, which is against the Catholic Church's beliefs.

it's common sense futureshock. Just look at the body of a man and that of a woman and figure out why they have the organs in the way they are.
